This is my review of the Make Up For Ever (MUFE) aqua cream in #12.. this is a cream formula that can be used on eyes and cheeks and comes in 22 shades as of today.. These retail for $23.00 and contain 0.21 oz of product.. The product is very pigmented and is waterproof..
I have tried using these on my eyes as an eyeshadow base or on its own or with my NARS eye primer.. The product creased on my oily eyelids when used on its own.. But with the eye primer, it stayed put all day.. It also worked well as an eyeshadow base over the eye primer.. Overall, very pleased with the aqua cream.. I don’t think it’s a must have, especially considering the price – a whooping $23…!! and considering it did not work on my oily eyelids without a primer, I will not be repurchasing it… There are a lot of cheaper gold base options out in the market..
Here’s Zoya’s LC nail polish.. Zoya describes the color as a “Bright, creamy saturated coral-red with a shiny creme finish. A very unique red that’s sure to turn heads.” The intensity of the color is 5 (opaque) and is quite true as seen in the images.. These pictures were taken after 4-5 days of wear and although my nails have grown and the nail polish is missing from the base & the very tips of my nails, I think this is great wear! No chipping of nail polish..
Along with it, I am wearing Seche Vita nail fortifier, base coat and top coat..
Overall, I think its a lovely bright summer color..
Urban Decay (UD) was having their family & friends sale in Spring 2013 and I ended up buying three lip junkie lipglosses! First was a full size of the shade ‘Naked’ which I got to sample before with the UD Naked2 palette and had enjoyed so much.. Other two were in the shade ‘Flushed’ and ‘Runaway’.. All retail for $19.00 and the shade ‘Runaway’ was on clearance for $9.00 .. I got a further 20% discount on these.. YAY! 😉
Here are the lipglosses and their swatches..
L to R: Runaway, Naked & Flushed
Runaway is a bright orange / coral gloss with gold shimmer..
Naked is a pale pink-beige with very tiny shimmer.. The color looks much darker in the packaging..
Flushed is a beautiful rosy pink color with no shimmer..
Bottom to top: Runaway, Naked & Flushed
L to R: Runaway, Naked & Flushed
Overall, these lipglosses are quite juicy/glossy and do not have a sticky feel to them.. They are comfortable on the lips with a slight cooling effect.. They have quite a good color payoff and have a slight minty flavor which I personally love! I like the squeeze out tube and the soft slanted head which is quite comfortable for application.. and I absolutely love the packaging & the design on the cap! Also, its good that they stand upside down – helpful when you can see how much of lip gloss you have remaining.. 😉
All in all, I would recommend these lipglosses especially when they are on sale!
I hope you all are having a lovely day / evening.. 🙂
I thought I would share my empties for face products and let you know what products worked for me…
L to R: MAC MSFN in medium deep; Bioderma Sebium H2O solution purifying cleanser for combination or oily skin; Origins Mega bright serum; Clean & clear mark treatment; Fresh Sugar lip treatment mini in rose; Skindinavia no more shine setting spray; Elf gel liners; Ulta professional brush cleanser and Ole Henrikson truth serum collagen booster.
The Elf gel eyeliners were a miss! They dried out completely even though I hadn’t used them much since I got them.. Had to throw them..
The Ulta brush cleanser was ok.. nothing exceptional.. I much prefer MAC’s brush cleanser and will not repurchase this..
Fresh Sugar lip treatment mini in rose was a good product.. It would moisturize my lips but I couldn’t justify the price for it especially when there are a lot more cheaper products that do the same..
Clean & clear mark treatment would just dry out my oily skin.. even for spot treatment.. will not be repurchasing!
Of all these products, the ones that I have repurchased are MAC MSFN, Bioderma cleanser, Skindinavia setting spray, Origins Mega bright serum and Ole Henrikson truth serum simply because these work well with my skin.. I use these products on a daily basis (except for when I am home and don’t wear makeup) and the first three products are a must in my bag at all times.. 🙂
I had purchased this palette off of Hautelook and have been religiously using it almost every day to write a honest review.. I like the packaging – simple and sleek – easy to travel with.. The palette contains 9 matte eye shadows and a mirror.. On the back of the packaging, they again have pictures of whats inside and list all ingredients.. They also have a picture of Matt and have his traits, likes, hobbies, etc listed.. 🙂
The colors range from a matte white to beige to peach to shades of grey and brown.. The only shades I feel are too close to each other are Matt Abdul and Matt Hung.. They could have kept Matt Hung and replaced Matt Abdul for a purple or blue color…
On my NC42 skintone, all colors look ok except for Matt Abdul.. I feel it looks too ashy on my skintone..
Overall, I am content with the palette.. These are probably the best quality matte eyeshadows I have tried.. They almost have a creamy consistency and are highly pigmented..
Do note that some of these shadows do tend to have some fall out but nothing like many others I have used in the past.. In all, if you are a lover of matte looks, this is a palette to own.. 🙂
I haven’t tried the concealers yet since I find them too creamy for Summer.. Will give them a try as we enter Fall and Winter later this year.. I am enjoying using the brow products though.. I use the brow wax first.. comb through the brow and then use the powders to fill them in..
